## Behringer X-Touch One

Our rating: 7.6 out of 10.

Best for: A Logic Pro user recording at home who wants a real motor fader, transport keys and a jog wheel for automation rides, on a budget under $200.

The Behringer X-Touch One is the cheapest way in the mid1 catalog to get a motorized fader into a Logic Pro session. It was $189 on Oct 19, 2026, flat since August.

The layout is built around one 100 mm touch-sensitive motor fader, an LCD scribble strip, a rotary encoder, an 8-segment LED meter and 34 lit buttons, with a large jog and shuttle wheel and full transport keys. It supports both Mackie Control and HUI, and ships with labelled templates for 11 DAWs, Logic Pro among them. In Mackie Control mode, the fader follows whichever Logic track you select, so a vocal ride or a volume automation pass happens by hand instead of with a mouse. A user mode lets you put specific Mackie Control functions on most buttons, and a footswitch input can punch in recordings. Retailer ratings average 4.5 out of 5 from 184 reviews.

One fader means one track at a time, so this is a recording and automation tool, not a mixing desk. The unit needs its own 9 V power supply rather than USB bus power. And the Logic template is a printed overlay on generic Mackie mapping.

## Solid State Logic UF8

Our rating: 9.0 out of 10.

Best for: Engineers who mix in Logic Pro every day, may also work in a second or third DAW, and want a metal surface that can grow to 32 faders.

The Solid State Logic UF8 is the premium Logic Pro controller in the mid1 catalog. It cost $1,199.99 on Oct 19, 2026, the low end of its tracked range.

The surface carries eight 100 mm touch-sensitive motorized faders in an all-metal enclosure with a brushed, anodized top. Logic Pro communicates with it over Mackie Control, while SSL's 360 software handles the device and its layouts. The keys are the deeper story: 43 assignable keys per unit, arranged as five banks of eight user keys plus three quick keys, let you put Logic key commands on hardware. The UF8 can switch between three DAWs connected at once, and up to four units cascade over USB for 32 faders. Retailer ratings average 4.4 out of 5 across only 30 reviews.

The price is the main barrier: it costs 2.4 times the FaderPort 8 for the same fader count. Logic still sees it as a Mackie Control surface, so core mixing features overlap with cheaper units. And SSL 360 software has to run on the computer for the full feature set.
