## Behringer X-Touch One

Our rating: 7.6 out of 10.

Best for: A Logic Pro user recording at home who wants a real motor fader, transport keys and a jog wheel for automation rides, on a budget under $200.

The Behringer X-Touch One is the cheapest way in the mid1 catalog to get a motorized fader into a Logic Pro session. It was $189 on Oct 19, 2026, flat since August.

The layout is built around one 100 mm touch-sensitive motor fader, an LCD scribble strip, a rotary encoder, an 8-segment LED meter and 34 lit buttons, with a large jog and shuttle wheel and full transport keys. It supports both Mackie Control and HUI, and ships with labelled templates for 11 DAWs, Logic Pro among them. In Mackie Control mode, the fader follows whichever Logic track you select, so a vocal ride or a volume automation pass happens by hand instead of with a mouse. A user mode lets you put specific Mackie Control functions on most buttons, and a footswitch input can punch in recordings. Retailer ratings average 4.5 out of 5 from 184 reviews.

One fader means one track at a time, so this is a recording and automation tool, not a mixing desk. The unit needs its own 9 V power supply rather than USB bus power. And the Logic template is a printed overlay on generic Mackie mapping.

## PreSonus FaderPort 8

Our rating: 8.5 out of 10.

Best for: Producers who mix in Logic Pro and want eight tracks under their hands, with names on screen and faders that follow automation.

The PreSonus FaderPort 8 is the controller most Logic Pro mixers should buy. It cost $499.99 on Oct 19, 2026, and dropped to $466.03 in an earlier weekly check.

Eight touch-sensitive, motorized faders with 100 mm long throw sit under eight high-definition scribble strips. Each strip shows a track name and value. The Session Navigator section handles track banking, marker jumps and timeline scrolling, and dedicated buttons cover transport, automation modes and channel functions. For Logic, PreSonus's own support documentation has you put the unit into MCU mode by holding the first two Select buttons at power-up, then add it in Logic's Control Surfaces setup as a Mackie Control device. The mode sticks after power-off. Retailer ratings average 4.5 out of 5 from 198 reviews.

The deepest integration is with PreSonus Studio One, which has native support; in Logic, you get the Mackie Control feature set, which is strong but generic. The setup takes one boot-menu step that is easy to miss. And it costs about 2.6 times the X-Touch One, which only pays off if you mix across many tracks.
